Choice Camps Recommendation of AAVE: Bold Europe
Since 1976, more than 10,000 students from 48 U.S. states and over 40 countries have enjoyed AAVE trips throughout the world. AAVE programs combine adventure travel with service work, language study, and wilderness skills through carefully-crafted itineraries. All AAVE programs include community service projects which contribute to the environment and communities visited.
The "All About Visiting Earth" community consists of teenagers who choose active participation, individual responsibility, and who respect and care about one another. AAVE trips are led by top-notch trip leaders who teach skills that lead to a lifetime of exploration, friendship, enjoyment, and personal growth. For families looking for a summer that will exceed their expectations for leadership, safety, adventure, fun, and depth of programming, AAVE may be the perfect choice.
Trip Description
FRANCE:
In Paris, you explore the Louvre, Eiffel Tower and authentic French cuisine. In the South of France, you enjoy a challenging night hike up the region's highest peak for an unforgettable sunrise. In Cap d'Ail on the French Riviera, you spend two days at an amazing hostel perched on the Mediterranean Sea. Nearby, in the French Alps, you experience traditional European rock climbing.
SPAIN:
Crossing through the Pyrenees to the village of Sort, Spain's adventure capital, you raft in Class III & IV rapids, and give back to the area with an environmental service project. You visit Barcelona, home to world-renowned art, culture and beaches.
Italy:
Canyoning in the Alps consists of rappelling, climbing and swimming through turquoise streams and pools beneath narrow rock walls. You explore the region that Michaelangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci called home; the markets, museums and magnificence of Florence and Siena.
