The unbeatable setting is home to one of the finest four week camp experiences in New England.
Camp Laurel South is a structured camp with an individualized program. Campers receive top-notch instruction and the full camp experience through a broad program of athletics, waterfront, the arts, adventure, and an array of other activities. Guided by a mature and experienced staff, Laurel South campers learn new things, challenge themselves at new activities, make new friends, and create life-long memories. For families looking for a premier four-week camping experience with a well-rounded program, Camp Laurel South may be the perfect fit.
Program Description
Laurel South's program is designed to expose younger campers to a wide variety of new activities and provide proper instruction. Younger campers have certain requirements for their individual schedule (such as regular swim lessons, tennis lessons, and at least two team sports), but they are also able to participate in activities of particular interest to them. Careful, professional guidance by Laurel South's supervising staff goes into the development of each camper's program.
As campers grow older, they enjoy more choice in determining their individual program. All programs are individualized and each camper follows his or her personal schedule for each of the program days. Because Laurel South offers a wide variety of activities with a great deal of depth of instruction, it is quite possible for older campers to specialize in one or two areas and receive excellent instructional help in these activities. All campers participate in activities with other campers their age. Most activities, with the exception of certain arts programs, are single-sex.
Staff Overview
The Laurel South staff is chosen from students, graduates and faculty from prominent schools throughout the United States. The camp seeks people with personality, character, stability and warmth. Most importantly, Laurel South looks for staff members with a sincere desire to work and live with children.
