Choice Camps Recommendation of Camp Ocean Pines
Camp Ocean Pines is an ocean-based summer camp located on the banks of the Pacific Ocean in Cambria, California. With only 60 campers per session, the camp provides an intimate, nature-based program where children learn about their environment and “leave no trace” camping principles. For kids looking to connect with nature in a laid-back traditional summer camp atmosphere, Camp Ocean Pines may be the perfect fit.
Program Description
Camp Ocean Pines offers a flexible schedule that gives each camper a daily choice of several activities. Based around an “ocean adventures” theme where kids connect to nature, the ocean, and the arts, campers enjoy a well-rounded mix of activities.
The off-site trips program is very popular at Ocean Pines. During trip weeks campers stay in tents learning “leave no trace” principles. They will have fun hiking, swimming and other unique activities that differ from a week on-site. Trip destinations include Morro Bay State Park, Big Sur, and Yosemite.
