Camp Twin Creeks is a co-ed sleep-away camp located in Minnehaha Springs, West Virginia. Nestled in the Allegheny Mountains, the camp site has been home to summer fun for more than 60 years. Twin Creeks offers a truly unique program that features a complete camping experience with a beginning, middle, and end in just two weeks. Children experience the outdoors, develop lasting friendships and learn new skills as part of a community that fosters teamwork, fairness, and cooperation. Coupled with a caring and dedicated staff, Camp Twin Creeks is an excellent option for first-time campers and families looking for shorter session lengths.

Program Description

The Camp Twin Creeks program is designed to expose campers to every activity while offering them elective opportunities in areas of interest. A camper’s schedule will vary based on their age; younger campers (entering grades 2-4) have four scheduled group activities and two elective activities each day. By contrast, older campers (entering grades 8-10) have two scheduled activities and four electives each day. Campers attend scheduled activities with their cabin while electives are grouped by age division.

Staff Overview

Counselors range in age from 19-25 years old and have completed at least one year of college. All cabin specialists are from the United States and all international staff members speak English as a first language.

Setting & Accommodations

Campers live in traditional camp cabins that house 10-12 campers and 2-3 staff members. One staff member is a “cabin specialist” who follows the group to each activity. Bathrooms and showers are located just a few feet from each cabin.

The menu at Twin Creeks features popular kid favorites like pizza, tacos, and grilled cheese. Every lunch and dinner is accompanied by a salad bar. A pasta and vegetarian bar is also available on a regular basis.

Safety Standards

Camp Twin Creeks has an on-site medical facility staffed 24 hours a day by a nurse practitioner and registered nurse. A local physician remains on call 24 hours a day. In the event of a more serious illness or emergency, Pocahontas County Hospital is located nine miles from camp.

Twin Creeks’ lifeguards are all American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certified.

Camp Twin Creeks is accredited by the American Camp Association and meets more than 300 safety standards set forth by the organization.
