For 89 years, the Cape Cod Sea Camps - Monomoy and Wono have played host to campers from throughout the country and around the world. Known as one of the great sailing camps, CCSC has also gained a reputation for excellence in a wide variety of traditional camp activities including Swimming, Tennis, The Arts, Archery, Riflery, Landsports and over 15 other major activities

CCSC's Day and Resident Camp Programs offer a variety of session lengths to accommodate busy summer schedules and camper readiness. The rich memories fostered by summers at the beach continue to be shared by a very active group of camp alumni from throughout the world. Program Description

CCSC general programs are available for 3 1/2 or 7 week sessions. They do offer a special 10 day Campers A-Way program for young 1st time campers. Another special program is our Junior Counselor Training Program for teens. Campers in this program must attend camp for the full session. Percentages of campers choosing the various sessions are as follows: Full Season 30%, Half Season 60%, Campers A-Way 10%.

Staff Overview

CCSC's counseling staff is comprised of college students, graduate students and teachers. The camp looks for individuals who have the desire and talent to make a difference in a child's life. The CCSC staff is chosen carefully, with an eye on their ability to be good role models, contribute positively to children and to teach specific activities. There are 84 Resident Camp counselors, 70 Day Camp counselors and 28 supervisory staff.

Setting & Accommodations

Campers are housed in comfortable cabins accommodating between 10 and 14 campers with 2 to 4 counselors. The cabins are screened, have electricity and bathrooms are attached to all but the original 3 Wono cabins which have adjacent toilets. Campers become integral members of a group living experience learning their individual responsibilities and contributing to the group's direction and fulfillment.

Safety Standards

Cape Cod Sea Camps provides a health center team of four registered nurses and a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Open clinic times are held in the morning after breakfast and again following dinner. Campers may visit the health center if they have any medical concerns during these times. The health center is staffed 24 hours a day for the eight weeks of camp. A local pediatrician makes visits to camp and is available for emergencies. Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis is approximately 25 minutes from camp. Fontaine Medical Center is 10 minutes from camp with x-ray and laboratory facilities. Brewster Fire and Rescue has an emergency response system, only minutes away, with qualified rescue personnel.
