iD Tech Camps offers summer enrichment programs where students gain a sense of empowerment, independence and self-confidence as they articulate their creativity through hands-on technology projects. Students spend their summer learning while having fun creating video games, websites, iPhone apps and much more. They see how their hobbies and passions can turn into potential careers. Many students even incorporate what they’ve learned at camp into their school projects and become mentors for their peers. There are impressive stories about iD Tech Camps students going on to “Do Something Big.” For instance, 9-year-old twin brothers started a web design company. A teenager wrote a best-selling programming book, created several iPhone apps (including “Car Finder,” featured in the NY Times), and is an Apple and Android certified developer. A 12-year-old created his own iPhone app called iSketch—which is currently featured in the Apple Apps Store, and has donated $20,000 of his app’s proceeds to a children’s hospital. Program Description

Ages 7-17 experience North America's most reputable and distinguished summer technology program for beginner to advanced students. Over 100,000 kids and teens worldwide have learned to create video games, websites with Flash, 3D models with Maya, movies with After Effects, C++ and Java programs, iPhone apps, robots and more with products experts use. FREE year-round learning with iD 365. These monthly online workshops are taught by live instructors and are free to alumni and currently enrolled students. At iD Tech Camps, there’s one computer per student and an average of six students per staff so campers are given the attention they need to excel and complete a project by the end of the week. iD Tech Camps is located at 60 universities in 25 states and Canada. In St. Mary's College of Moraga, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Santa Clara University and California State University Sacramento. In Southern California: UCLA, UC San Diego, UC Irvine and Cal Lutheran University. Other locations include Harvard, Princeton, MIT, Columbia, Emory and more.

Staff Overview

iD Tech Camps believes that the summer camp experience is only as good as its personnel, which is why they go the extra mile in selecting only those with the spirit, energy, dedication and desire to lead their camps. Staff is made up of industry professionals, upper-level college graduates, graduate students, and recent graduates with degrees in Film, Mechanical Engineering, Education, Media Arts, Computer Science and more. These are adult-only staff counselors (no counselors-in-training) who are trained in person before the start of each camps season.

Setting & Accommodations

Each iD Tech Camps location is set on a prestigious college campus, where campers learn and work on their projects within university buildings, eat in university dining halls, can tour the campus and enjoy recreational time in university facilities. Overnight campers stay right in the college dorms on campus. By spending time in a college setting, students have the opportunity to preview a university they may consider applying to for college.

Safety Standards

iD Tech Camps is accredited by the American Camp Association and no other computer camp has more sites accredited by the ACA. This is a family-owned company where safety is the number one priority.
