Lake Owego Camp for Boys is a traditional summer camp located in northeastern Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains. Program Description
Lake Owego Camp has a program that allows campers to do the things they love while encouraging them to try something new. Campers can sample an extensive offering of sports, adventure, waterfront, creative arts, and individual activities.
Staff Overview
Many Lake Owego counselors are former campers who look forward to sharing the Lake Owego experience from a first-hand perspective. Most counselors are students at colleges and universities throughout the country. Some counselors are selected from Scotland, England and other countries. The average staff age is 21.
Setting & Accommodations
Campers live in traditional bunks that house 8-12 campers and 3-4 counselors.
Lake Owego Camp features a nutritious menu of hot meals and snacks. There are vegetarian options at each meal and the camp can accommodate campers with special dietary needs.
Safety Standards
Lake Owego Camp has a fully equipped health center staffed 24 hours a day by two registered nurses. A camp physician is located less than one mile away at affiliated Pine Forest Camp.
Lake Owego Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association and meets more than 300 safety standards set forth by the organization.
