Each day campers hike, bike, climb, and paddle their way through dozens of outdoor activity offerings.
In addition to the strong outdoor component, campers also enjoy an extensive spiritual experience emphasizing discipleship. Campers are given the opportunity to further their knowledge of Christ during morning chapel and cabin Bible studies. Coupled with the expansive adventure offerings, Moose River Outpost offers a truly life-changing exploration of faith and the outdoors.
Program Description
Moose River Outpost offers an exciting two-week adventure camp where every day brings a new experience. There is no “routine” at Moose River Outpost – one day campers may be playing capture the flag, the next they can be on a three-day canoe trip. Camp activities are non-competitive and stress individual lifetime sports such as backpacking, wakeboarding, swimming, mountain biking, waterskiing, and tubing.
A popular experience at Moose River Outpost is the WILD (Wilderness Intensive Leadership Development) Program. Spread over two summers of 4 weeks each, the WILD program leads campers on a physical and spiritual journey throughout the Maine countryside. With input and guidance from instructors, campers have the opportunity to grow comfortable sharing their spiritual insights, struggles, questions, and joys with their peers.
