Trip Description
Begin the journey in Athens, an international hub and thriving modern city that was once the capital of the Classical world. Sift through the layers of over three millennia as you climb the Acropolis and explore the Ancient Agora. Cook and dance like a Greek, shop along the busy city streets, and marvel at the changes that the course of the years has made on this ancient civilization.
Then it’s off to the Ionian Islands, some of the most spectacular seaside destinations in all of Europe! Spend time sailing between the islands, mountain biking, windsurfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, sea kayaking and hiking to secret waterfalls and swimming at the most beautiful beaches you’ve ever seen.
Rome, capital of modern-day Italy and ancient capital of the Roman Empire, is a ferry ride away. This buzzing city is filled with fashion, food, culture and stunning sights around every corner. See Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel ceiling at the Vatican Museums, visit the Roman Forum and Coliseum, and visit St. Peter’s Tomb. Outside Rome, you’ll visit Pompeii, an ancient Roman city perfectly preserved when it was suddenly buried by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Staff Overview
All staff members undergo extensive interviewing, training, and ongoing evaluation. All counselors are certified in first-aid and CPR. Very few new staff are hired each year due to high retention rate. Trip leaders do not lead a trip without prior experience as a TFT counselor. With few exceptions, students are fully supervised on all of our journeys. Most staff members have lived in the countries they are leading each trip in and are able to offer deeper insights into the culture and lifestyle.
Setting & Accommodations
Travelers will stay in authentic hotels close to the center of each city to maximize the cultural experience. Travel for Teens tries to avoid staying in chain hotels to encourage immersion into each specific region.

Travel for teens analyzes every aspect and detail of each trip and goes over contingency plans and emergency numbers for each country.
