Trip Description
Mountains, deserts and rivers. Modern cities, rural villages, hidden monasteries, and exotic marketplaces. Trekking, whitewater rafting and camel riding. Home stays with families who rarely receive outside visitors. Visit Delhi, the Taj Mahal, the ancient capital of Jaipur, and then go further: head north to the Lost Kingdom of Ladakh. High in the Himalayas, close to the Tibetan border, Ladakh is dotted with Buddhist monasteries, sacred art and architecture, and remnants of its rich culture and history. A stop on the ancient East-West caravan routes known as The Silk Road, Ladakh is timeless, wild, and unbelievably beautiful. This exceptional trip, designed and led by Indian members of the core Windsor Mountain staff, is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience total cultural immersion on the rooftop of the world!
